Water Conservation Campaign

Water conservation is often the first action people are told to take to reduce climate change; however, as a result there is a huge disconnect between our actions towards water conservation and our understanding of why we do what we do. Taking 2 minute showers, turning the tap off when you’re brushing our teeth, how effective are these actions? Is there more to water conservation than our individual actions? The answer to this is Yes!

Promote water conservation through educational campaigns – which focus our attention on large actions that can be taken as a group or a community perhaps even against large corporations or agriculture that can improve their conservation habits! For example, farming co-ops can improve the water quality around the locality by reducing the impact of chemicals or run off. Share stories and testimonials of people affected by water scarcity and encourage empathy and respect for those who lack access to clean water. Reflect on personal water usage and ways to reduce waste.
